Job Title: Construction Technical Support Specialist

Location(s); The Construction Technical Support, Specialist Auditor will be expected to work 25% remote and 75% in the field on construction projects.

Job Description:

The Construction Technical Support, Specialist Auditor is a support function for the Construction Team and Installation Performance Management Group, with tasks ranging from onsite auditing, tooling support, CIM Assistance, and various onsite and remote project meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform and Report out on Audit Findings for Onsite Tasks to include, Receiving, NCR creation and documentation, MCC completion, Commissioning completion.
  •  Join technical meetings with the customer / BOP to represent Vestas from the field perspective as needed.• Review existing project documentation in Procore and adherence to our existing standards to maximize execution.
  •  Assist Construction Technical Support and Site Construction Team in preparation and presentation of job specific page turns and technical documentation presentation for our costumer and sub-contractors.
  •  Support efforts to ensure that on-site construction quality control measures are in place and are being implemented by Vestas contractors and sub-contractors by the means of on-site Audits.
  •  Follow-up of project-related engineering issues onsite to insure execution quality.
  •  Support the management of site construction document quality through rigorous Onsite Audits.
  •  Internal follow-up of internal project related requests and processes.
  •  Support efforts to ensure that HSE requirements and guidelines are adhered to at project sites

Qualifications:

  •  In Field Experience regarding construction of wind turbine farms and Vestas specific turbines essential.
  •  Firsthand experience in construction documentation / Job Book review essential.• Good understanding of general contract elements and language interpretation including scope, milestones, payment terms and documentation.
  •  Working knowledge of the typical project construction lifecycle, schedules and budgets.
  •  Working knowledge of construction activities that have an elevated level of quality control risk and impacts on HSE.
  •  300 Level TBC on at least 1 Vestas turbine platform (2MW, 4MW, Enventus)
  •  Minimum 2 years construction field experience and 300 Level Core TBC complete.

Competencies:

  •  Advanced communication skills, oral and written.
  •  Advanced organizational skills.• Enhanced computer knowledge, with MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note
  •  Proficient with use of Procore.
  •  Experienced in Commissioning, Mechanical Completion Walkdowns, Leak Checks, and Troubleshooting.
