As Team Lead Pilot Plant Fermented Milk / Plant-based Solutions, you are responsible to run the daily operations of the Fermented milk products Pilot Plant to support the Fermented Dairy & Plant-based business. You manage a team of pilot plant technicians, taking ownership to create an (high performing team) efficient, safe, healthy and engaging working environment for the team.

 

The Pilot Plant contributes to developing new products and applications and support sales and marketing effort i.e. yogurt, quark, cream cheese and plant based alternatives. The team is part of the global application team of fermented milk and plant-based solution and is based in the Business Unit Taste Texture & Health (Fresh Dairy organization).

Key Responsibilities  

• You are the people manager of a team of pilot plant technicians who you support in their day-to-day activities through coaching and personal development;
• Together with your team and in good alignment with your stakeholders, you secure the planning, execution, and delivery of high-quality experimental work, ensuring to keep internal customers updated about progress, critical findings and ensuring reliable and value-adding conclusions. Aligned with the business priorities and global application manager, you steer the resource planning for the team;
• Organization and management of the pilot plant are led by you with a focus to implement effective work processes and driving continuous improvement;
• In collaboration with your colleagues’ stakeholders and guided by market requirements, you propose and implement new pilot plant equipment, processes and techniques as required to maintain a state-of the art pilot plant to support our business;
• You participate in cross-functional projects;
• You ensure that work processes and activities are in line with high safe and quality standards, and FSSC 22000 standard developing a culture where safety and health are first and foremost.

• Reward: Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 66,505 to € 95,007 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.

• A BSc in Food Science or process technology with minimal 7 years relevant experience in a food or food ingredient company;
• Experience in managing an operational team in a pilot plant or dairy factory where you demonstrated to care for and to empower people and you nurtured collaboration in and between individuals and teams;
