Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
One of the following:
- MD degree
- DO degree
Must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program
Working knowledge of adult learning principles, educational methodology and instructional design
Licensure, Registration, Certification:
BLS
ACLS
Licensed Physician in the State of Alabama
Active registry in good standing by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
One of the following:
- Board Certified M.D.
- Board Certified D.O
One of the following:
- Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Certified by the America Osteopathic Association
Desired Qualifications:
Scheduled to complete or has already completed the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) certification examination
Responsibilities
Serves as a leader within the residency program, responsible for overseeing educational activities, advocating for residents, and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical services.
