Summary of Job Duties:

The Pharmacy Services Specialist responds to inquiries from Plan members and/or network providers and pharmacies, troubleshoots issues and provides information regarding prescription drug claims, drug coverage options, and prescription/medical drug plans. This position will work weekdays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent PLUS three (3) years of experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or physician’s office setting involving medication therapy or other prescription drug-related responsibilities. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and medications

• Strong ability to follow oral instructions and work independently

• Excellent communication skills and professional phone etiquette

• Proficient in reading and writing

• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
