Yard Laborer

 

Job Description Summary

 

Employee responsible for various tasks and duties assigned by the supervisor. These duties may involve a broad range of responsibilities.  This position is considered Full-time Seasonal with overtime available and will be scheduled as buiness permits up through October/November 2024.

 

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:

Ability to lift up to 50lbs. 100 lbs. team or assisted lift.

Provide customer service.

Load customers.

Stock inventory.

Operate Forklift and Loader.

Follows policies and procedures to ensure the job is done properly.

Attendance required according to company attendance policy to ensure crew is able to operate at normal efficiency level.

Physical ability to operate equipment and to transport material. Position may require employee to unload truck by hand.

Attitude/Cooperation: Must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, public.

Craftsmanship and ability to follow OSHA/MSHA safety standards.

Ability to stand for duration of shift, typical shift is 8-12 hours.

Overtime available after 40 hours. Paid weekly.

Ability to be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes.

Ability to transport material with attention to detail and emphasis on safety.

Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completion.

Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in functional condition.

This is an entry-level position. Candidates may eventually be crossed-trained to perform other duties in the plant as deemed necessary.

Must pass drug test, criminal background check, and Functional Capactiy Exam.

 

Education/Experience

 

High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
