The Fitness Director is responsible for scheduling, budgeting, promoting, and facilitating, the fitness-based activities and excursions, with an emphasis on physical activity, and movement. All fitness activities, excursions and events must be designed to meet the interests, desires, and needs of the residents at the Community. All responsibilities must be completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as resource for residents on physical fitness and nutrition.
• Schedule fitness vendors weekly and lead exercise classes weekly.
• Instruct residents on the safe operation of all exercise equipment. Maintain documentation of such training.
• Oversee safe swimming programs for Communities with pools.
• Maintain all exercise equipment and the fitness room in a safe and sanitary manner. Promptly arrange for equipment repair if items become damaged or inoperable coordinating the cost of such repairs with the Executive Director.
• Lead orientations/trainings to instruct residents and team members on the proper use of all machines and devices in the fitness center.
