Qualifications:· 


Veterinary Technician Certification (Preferred)· Veterinary Anesthesia Experience: 2 years (Preferred). Veterinary Dentistry Experience: 2 years (Preferred). Veterinary Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)


License/Certification:·

Job Description: 


Veterinary Technicians are the backbone of our veterinary hospital. We train and provide an independent and gratifying work environment for our veterinary technicians and assistants. Team members at Montana Pet Dentistry & Oral Surgery are integral to providing high-quality medicine and customer service. Our Core Values keep us focused on what is important – quality care for pets and their people. The oral cavity is the first part of the digestive tract and arguably the most important. We take great pride in providing our patients with a pain-free and comfortable oral cavity. We are looking for an enthusiastic veterinary technician who enjoys the clinical aspects of anesthesia and dentistry. Our clinic stands out with its utilization of a board-certified veterinary anesthesiologist who routinely provides remote case planning and management alongside a dedicated technician. 


Technical skills should include but are not limited to: · 

  • Venipuncture and animal restraint. 
  • Dental Prophylaxis (cleaning).
  • Dental radiographs
  • Anesthesia experience: induction, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery. Team members should be comfortable with setting up anesthetic equipment, inducing anesthesia, and monitoring anesthesia. Team members should be proficient in medical math, i.e., calculating drug doses and managing CRI pumps.  
  • Communication: Team members are expected to adapt to different styles of client communication and work directly with owners from check-in to check-out.
  • Procedure flow: Team members are expected to prepare the treatment area for procedures, including preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Proper Use of Laboratory Machines for testing, such as PCV, BG, PT/PTT, In-hospital CBC, and Chemistries
