Job Description
The role
Checkout.com is actively looking for a strategic-thinking, resourceful and highly driven Key Account Manager (Strategic Accounts) to nurture and maintain long-term relationships with our Enterprise merchants and partners. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the most successful FinTech companies at a turning point of its global expansion.
You will be the business advisor and main point of contact for a merchant post-integration process. You will act as the voice of our product and ambassador of our brand, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to our merchants. The key to success here will be the ability to apply your business savvy knowledge and the required gravitas to effectively communicate and influence at all levels to achieve win-win scenarios and promote the value proposition.

How you’ll make an impact
- Focussing on our strategic Tier 1 merchants with a global presence, building high touch, consultative and strong relationships through regular, proactive and open communications
- Creating and maintaining merchant-specific long-term account development plans to focus on revenue generation. Creating in-depth knowledge of the merchant's industry, identifying macroeconomic movements
- Pro-actively analyse merchant’s performance and provide recommendations to improve the payment flow/revenue
- Focusing on exceeding strategic and financial targets of our merchants by analysing active payment products, transaction volumes, and service levels.Collaborating cross-functionally with various teams (e.g. Sales, Legal, Engineering, Integration, Support) to ensure a first-class merchant experience
- Understanding the intricacies of our products, services, and partner networks thoroughly to demonstrate as needed to meet our merchants’ needs
- Take a proactive approach to customer service items and problem-solving
- Delivering expertise, training, and guidance to other team members, other departments as well to merchants as they craft and execute a comprehensive, global payments strategy
- Sharing ideas and feedback on local trends including competitor insights, customer needs, sales, product, and marketing information
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- 6+ years’ experience in a B2B Key Account Management role in the FinTech, Payments and or financial industry with C-level engagement.
- Good knowledge of today's major e-commerce and payments technologies, players, and major up-and-coming trends
- Effective communicator with battled-tested negotiation techniques
- Strong consultative sales abilities and coaching nature; you get others excited
- Ability to think from the customer's perspective and be vigilant of the desired experience
- Have outstanding analytical skills, commercial- and financial savvy and you are a master in financial forecasting
- A dynamic approach, adapting to changing requirements with the ability to manage multiple opportunities concurrently in a fast pace environment, both internally - as well as externally
- Being responsible for global strategic T1 accounts, you have no problem to occasionally cater for different time zones
- Travel requirements of up to 20% to Checkout offices and client locations (depending on business needs)
- Proficient in English
