Senior Controller P&C Technical Closing

<p> </p> <p><span>In this capacity you will be responsible for the assigned to you quarter close activities, analysis and reporting of the technical results. Moreover, you will be involved into analysis and monitoring of complex transactions, providing your strong technical expertise and navigation to the Senior Management, internal and external stakeholders. As a part of the mandate you will drive continusly the process improvement and efficiency. You will benefit from SCOR’s multicultural fast-paced work environment and broad intercompany relationships with other departments and functions. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong><u>Key duties and responsibilities</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>In depth analysis of technical results incl. special deals, large / complex transactions for contributive business, internal operations.</span></li> <li><span>Review the accuracy of the data in the reinsurance accounting system and ensure the completeness of the P&amp;L and BS for the IFRS, local &amp; EBS quarter close.</span></li> <li><span>Monitoring and analysis of internal and external retrocesions and ensuring accuracy of the technical results and intercompany reconciliations.</span></li> <li><span>Variance analyses of technical results in P&amp;L and BS and explanation of the results to the Senior Management, internal &amp; external stakeholders, local CFOs. </span></li> <li><span>Reconciliation of the results in accounting systems.</span></li> <li><span>Conducting of assigned internal controls within the given framework.</span></li> <li><span>Quarterly &amp; Year End reporting under IFRS17, Solvency II, local GAAP</span></li> <li><span>Preparation of accounting presentations and memos for the quarter close packs and deliverables.</span></li> <li><span>Ensure the delivery of high quality, well explained and multi-GAAP compliant results on a timely basis.</span></li> <li><span>Proactively seeking for the process improvements and efficiencies.</span></li> <li><span>Relationship management within BU and internal stakeholders.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong><u>Required experience &amp; competencies</u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>At least 5 years of experience in (Re-)insurance sector preferably in Finance or Actuarial field</span></li> <li><span>Robust understanding of (Re-)insurance P&amp;L and BS</span></li> <li><span>IFRS17, EBS and Solvency II reporting knowledge is of strong advantage</span></li> <li><span>Solid skills in Excel and Reinsurance systems, ability to operate with large amount of data</span></li> <li><span>Strong ability to see a big picture with detail orientation, analytical thinking and numeracy skills, as well as strong communication skills</span></li> <li><span>Strong organizational skills, ability to deliver precise and reliable within deadlines</span></li> <li><span>Openminded, service, objective and goal-oriented</span></li> <li><span>Strong ability and willingness to work in an international / multicultural environment, exceptional team player with good interpersonal skills</span></li> <li><span>Fluency in english (written and spoken)</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong><u>Required Education </u></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or accounting.
