As a Software Engineering Manager Senior within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.

Ideal candidate will have responsibilities as below:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Guide the design and delivery of Java- and Spring Boot–based applications, with emphasis on streaming solutions built on Kafka.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, and QA teams to define roadmaps, scope projects, and ensure successful execution.
• Oversee the development and optimization of streaming applications, ensuring high availability, scalability, and resiliency.
• Provide technical guidance on Oracle database integration, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing standards, and continuous integration/delivery.
• Manage project timelines, risks, and dependencies to ensure delivery commitments are met.
• Build a collaborative environment across onshore/offshore teams and align priorities with business stakeholders.
• Support career growth by setting goals, providing feedback, and enabling training opportunities.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes.
• Strong technical background with Java, Spring Boot, and enterprise application frameworks.
• Hands-on expertise in Kafka, Redpanda, and event-driven streaming applications.
• Solid experience with Oracle databases (SQL, schema design, optimization).
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical enterprise applications with high availability and resiliency.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing global teams (onshore/offshore/nearshore) preferred.

• Oversee the talent management of engineering talent, including recruiting, mentoring, and enabling a culture of learning with a focus on engineering craftsmanship.
