JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a team to advance the state-of-the-art in the wireless technology, including generating patents.
Engage with standard bodies and make technical contributions.
Identify research directions and new research areas.
Collaborate with teams in global locations to reach optimal outcome.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
Your qualifications and experience should include:
Master Degree in Electrical / Communication Engineering or in Computer Science with at least 10+ years of related work or research experience (or Ph.D. Degree with at least 5+ years of related work or research experience).
Excellent wireless communication background including all system or link level aspects.
Strong Mathematical and problem-solving skills.
Experience on wireless LAN (IEEE802.11) MAC/PHY layers protocol design and/or analysis is highly preferred. A good knowledge of wireless LAN protocol is required.
Experience on standard development (WLAN (802.11be/11ax/11ac,..) or 3GPP (RAN1/RAN2), etc.) is highly preferred. Track record of high impact contributions is a strong plus.
Experience on link level or system level simulation (i.e., ns-3, OPNET) is required.
Experience on wireless LAN systems, cellular systems, sensor network technologies, distributed networking technologies, or wireless PAN systems with excellent research record is preferred.
Experience on cross-layer system design is a plus.
Excellent Programming language knowledge, such as Matlab, C/C++, Python is required.
Experience on millimeter waves or Terahertz waves (mmWave, 5G NR, 802.11ad/ay) technologies with excellent research record is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to lead technical discussions for new features, drive consensus, and capture the results in writing in the form of designs, models, and requirements
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally if required
Flexibility and adaptability to work and collaborate with researchers in global locations
