Key Responsibilities
- Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal management and external representatives concerning specific process safety projects.
- Determine scope, budget and timeline of intermediate sized safety projects.
- Direct Process Safety management systems for the Belpre Site
- Function as the expert in risk analysis processes.
- Champion risk reduction efforts and technology at Belpre Site
- Lead root cause investigations from the higher consequence events
- Audit performance and champion improvement process safety management systems at Belpre site
- Focal point for Boiler Burner Management System
- Backup Process Discipline Focal Point
- Backup Poly Safety System gatekeeper
- Popcorn Polymer Focal Point
Required Skills
- Expertise with HAZOP, Process Hazard Analysis, and Layer of Protection Analysis
- Advanced knowledge of Process Safety Management requirements
- Expertise with root cause analysis
- Principle-based leadership
- Quantitative Risk Analysis
- Evaluation of release and dispersion modeling
- Knowledge of industry best practices
- 10+ years of experience in Engineering or related field.
- Project Management experience
Education, Certifications & Licenses
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 10 years of Chemical Industry experience in technical roles.
