Description
Knox College seeks an Assistant Professor of Political Science & International Relations-Galesburg, IL. Tenure track position. Teach and engage students in active learning research opportunities with an emphasis on civic engagement. Required to teach a six-course teaching load (two courses in each of three 10-week terms) that includes introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses in international relations, as well as other courses that are within the candidate’s area of expertise and that contribute to the general liberal arts curriculum.
Qualifications
Requires: Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Political Science, or related quantitative field. ABD candidates in Political Science or related quantitative field will also be considered if the degree is conferred by the time the appointment begins. Must demonstrate capacity for a six-course teaching load (two courses in each of three 10-week terms) that includes introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses in international relations, as well as other courses that are within the candidate’s area of expertise and that contribute to the general liberal arts curriculum. Must demonstrate capacity for covering diverse areas in teaching and research methods based on prior specialization. Salary: $63,110.00 annually.
