Duration: 6 months (with possibility to extend)

Location: Amsterdam

Contract: 32/40h per week


Join our dynamic team as a ESG Reporting Intern and contribute to meaningful initiatives aimed at capturing comprehensive and high-quality data in adherence to the CSRD (Regulation and the creation of LCAs). What is CSRD: The Corporate Sustainability Report Directive (CSRD) is an improvement of Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NFRD). The CSRD initiatives are focused on creating a common taxonomy and standardized information from companies to investors and other stakeholders. Currently, it can be difficult to compare sustainability reports because the disclosed information varies with different standards and frameworks. Therefore, CSRD will ensure that companies report reliable and comparable sustainability information that investors and other stakeholders need. 


Your role:

  • Your key responsibilities include executing core initiatives, such as capturing complete and quality data with the business to comply with CSRD Regulation and creating Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs).

  • You will be involved in the organization and execution of various activities including support the business in the data collection around products’ material composition and energy consumption, assessing the completeness and quality of captured data, process definition and improvement, and effective stakeholder communication.

  • You will play an important role in communicating with key internal stakeholder to ensure that we all work to deliver efficiently to deliver on our ambitious ESG commitments. 

You're the right fit if:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business/Economics, Communication, Marketing or a related field.

  • Possess a moderate level of ESG understanding (minimal level is acceptable)

  • Data analytics experience/skills

  • Strong communication skills; excellent English verbal and written skills

  • Keen eye for detail, dynamic, structured, proactive and independent working attitude

  • MS Office, especially excel skills

In return, we offer you

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.

  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300,- net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255,- net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.

  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €145,- net

  • Paid holidays per internship term.

  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop

IMPORTANT:

  • Part of our selection procedure is a HireVue online interview recording. We are not able to share the outcome of this HireVue interview but will use this as extra selection criteria.

  • In order to be considered, you have to be registered as a student during the entire internship period. Formal documentation will be requested. Students from outside the EU enrolled at a Dutch university need to fill in a NUFFIC agreement – which needs to be signed by the student and the university.

  • Please note that the contents of our regular internship assignments are not suitable for professionals (and/or MBA students) with professional work experience.
