Job Description

AECOM is seeking Senior Coating Inspectors to be based in New York, NY.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of exciting design/build projects that are highly visible adding value to your career development. These could be small, medium and large projects. If you would enjoy being part of a Global Team interacting with colleagues globally, this will give you some global exposure, as well.

• Serves as technical expert in field inspections ad audits, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally
• Provides guiding direction for inspections on engagements.
• Sets direction and goals for inspection and/or business line.
• External spokesperson on technical project issues.
• Leads the audit strategy for individual's area of expertise.
• Key point of contact for engagements and member of AECOM senior leadership team.
• Responsible for setting own project deadlines. 
• Provides on the job training to new employees. 
• Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties. 
• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records. 
• Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning. 
• Tracks quality assurance progress. 
• Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.
• Bridge and Highway Coating Inspection with the bridge painting, and steel repairs.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

• Highschool Diploma plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Transit Experience 

Preferred requirements

• NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 2, Currently being administered by AMPP-Association for Materials and Performance.
• SSPC – SSPC Protective Coatings Specialist (SSPC PCS) or Bridge Coating Inspector Program (BC2), Currently being administered by AMPP-Association for Materials and Performance.

Offered rate of compensation (NYC locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $50 to $86/hr.
