Maintenance Associate
Job Summary:
Assess and address maintenance, janitorial and safety issues, including preventive maintenance. Work in collaboration with supervisor, maintenance associate Jr., sub-contractors and in-house janitorial crew
Duties/Responsibilities:
Change light bulbs/ballasts
Light repair around offices (e.g. electrical connections, wall pockets, bulletin boards, furniture, leaky plumbing, toilet seats, adjusting doors hinges)
Preventive maintenance on drains, machines and HVAC
Plumbing issues such as unplug sinks and toilets
Keep all pathways clear and safe
Check all fire extinguishers and Exit signs
Maintain and upkeep of all fire suppression in all building of PCP
Move equipment and supplies to designated area
Aid Janitorial/House keeping crews
Maintenance and repair on all housekeeping cleaning equipment
Maintenance and care of all Vaccine coolers and freezers
Assist in the upkeep of outside areas, parking lots, plants, etc. PCP/Hospice
Snow removal, ice melt, sweeping PCP and Hospice
Assist with Lawn care at PCP and Hospice
Maintain HVAC/Boiler and Conveyer systems
Health and safety monitoring/repairs
Maintain Roofing and Gutters of all buildings
Painting interior/exterior of all building
Coordinate Bids with independent (sub)-contractors
On call 24 hours except when on vacation
Monitoring of Heating/ Cooling after hours via Lap top at home & alarms on Phone
Must have reliable transportation to travel to other PCP building sites. Pickup and delivery of material as needed
Have a sharp eye for details in all projects of the building
Work Experience:
2 -5 years of maintenance Some knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping and painting; detail oriented; good work ethics and good communication skills; able to work well with other people, departments and supervisors. Some knowledge of medical equipment helpful.
Education Requirements:
Must have education or be willing to be trained in all aspects of the position. Must know or obtain OSHA Standard Regulations in regard to safety. HVAC Certification preferred. Use of a computer a must; with emphases on developing programs and spread sheets.
Working Conditions:
Works on both interior and exterior of the physical plant; scheduling will vary. Some sitting, crawling, bending, walking, lifting and working on a ladder.
