What will you do?

A day in the life of a Warehouse Associate at VF looks a little like this.

Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a warehouse. Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, picking and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks.

• Responsible for a variety of functions within the distribution center, such as receiving, stocking, loading, and unloading merchandise, picking, and operating heavy-duty equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries.
• Responsible for working independently to reach individual production goals successfully and accurately.

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 1 year of experience and professional achievements. 

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

• Basic level of education will be required; reading, writing, and basic numeracy, problem solving, and accountability.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

• Prior warehouse experience

Sub Job Family Description: This job profile is to be used for jobs in a Base Plus program. Follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, record, and dispatch goods in a store or warehouse. Receive incoming goods; check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices. Accurately sort, label, and store goods; arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders. Enter data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieve stored information to respond to enquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules). Perform other routine clerical activities according to the organization's established procedures. These activities may include answering telephones; updating stock cards and inventory records; and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch forms.
