Job Description
Eurofins Environment Testing is seeking a GC-MS Analyst Trainee. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in analytical chemistry. Full training provided, no experience necessary. Successful applicant will be assigned a 2-year development plan with quarterly goals, supported by hands-on experienced trainers and a Mentor with whom they will meet monthly to discuss progress and receive guidance.
The ideal candidate would possess:
- a science degree
- an ability to interpret graphs and data
- an ability to grasp analytical chemistry concepts
- eagerness to learn
- problem solving ability
- excellent organizational and time-management skills
- initiative
Job duties:
Analyzing environmental samples accurately, on-time and in compliance with EPA regulations
Organizing and prioritizing sample runs using LIMS (Lab Information Management System) and GC-MS software
GC-MS troubleshooting and maintenance
Review QC and sample data and complete in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
More advanced duties with time and training and at the successful applicant’s pace
Qualifications
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
BS or BA in chemistry or related science field
Laboratory experience is a plus
Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of University Park, IL are encouraged to apply.
