Senior Superintendent, Healthcare (Commercial Construction)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee field operations for large-scale construction projects, ensuring safety compliance, quality control, and timely project completion. The Senior Superintendent will be responsible for managing on-site safety, adhering to project specifications, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring that construction progresses according to the schedule. This role involves collaboration with multiple internal departments, conducting progress meetings, managing inspections, and implementing proactive change management strategies. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in construction management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects.

Commercial construction experience within the healthcare industry is a requirement of this position.

The Location

Roncelli is headquartered in Sterling Heights, Michigan, however the jobsite, onsite location, will be in southeast Michigan area.

Experience: 10+ years of commercial construction experience within the healthcare industry is a requirement of this position.

Education:  Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in construction as a Superintendent or Project Manager.
• MUST Certified, OSHA 30 hr., LEED AP or GA, Certified Storm Water Operator, First Aid & CPR Certified.
• Additional certifications like STS-C (Board Certified Safety Professional) are preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility for on-site safety. Work closely with Safety Department to ensure all Client, MIOSHA and corporate safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Primary responsibility for quality, conformance to drawings, specifications and local codes. Senior Superintendent will work with the project management team to develop and implement the project(s) quality control program.
• Provide input for the preparation of work scopes, selection of subcontractors, cost estimating.
• Participate in post bid review meetings and project kick off meetings.
• Work closely with project management and other internal departments including Safety, Self-perform, Estimating, Accounting, Payroll, Billing & Document control to further ensure project success at all stages including project close out.
