As our Community Programs Specialist for the EMEA and LATAM region, you will champion Elastic's software developer community.</p> <p>Are you that kind of person who is invigorated by supporting the tech community? Do you feel at home organizing meetups and developer conference appearances by identifying and coordinating requirements; developing schedules and assignments; and reporting on your activities using various tooling? In this role, you will support the advocacy of Elastic's product line by organizing meetups and conference participation as well as the coordination of related logistics, driving regional conference strategy, and other challenges as required.</p> <p>User group meetings typically take place in the evenings, so it is essential that you would be available to remotely support these events on an as-needed basis.</p> <h3><strong>What You Will Be Doing</strong></h3> <ul> <li>End-to-end event management, from initial planning to post-event evaluation</li> <li>Coordinate swag ordering and delivery to developer conferences, meetups, and community members</li> <li>Partner with Developer Advocates on regional event strategy</li> <li>Draft and proofread content and marketing collateral for events</li> <li>Comfortably communicate with many different colleagues in various roles across a distributed company and community</li> </ul> <h3>What You Bring</h3> <ul> <li>Extensive proven experience in event and logistics coordination</li> <li>Strong project management skills</li> <li>Comfortable reporting and tracking results</li> <li>Budget management</li> <li>Near-native English skills are a must and familiarity with Portuguese language is preferred</li> </ul> <h3>Bonus Points</h3> <ul> <li>A link showcasing some of the events you've produced or organized</li> <li>Previous work on a Developer Relations team with an open source software community</li> <li>Experience with onboarding vendors, raising POs and managing the payment process</li> </ul><h2><strong>Additional Information - We Take Care of Our People</strong></h2> <p>As a distributed company, diversity drives our identity.
