Quality Control Technician

Teradek, based in Irvine, CA, manufactures wireless video devices for remote video capture, live ENG backhaul, real-time monitoring, proxy recording and webcasting. For complex IP video systems, Teradek's cloud-based management platform allows users to remotely operate a fleet of Teradek encoders in real-time from anywhere in the world. Teradek products are used in film, television, streaming, sports, governments and organizations around the world.

A typical day might include, but not limited to

• Performing tests on newly manufactured devices per defined standards and procedures to ensure quality measures are met

• Visually inspect finished products for physical defects

• Identifying, documenting, and reporting any anomaly with the products

• Diagnosing failures after testing

• Verifying work orders, identifying parts with descriptions

• Proactive on changes to BOMs and test procedures

• Coordinating with assembly technicians and leadership to ensure a steady flow of finished goods

• Perform other duties as required to support quality, engineering, and warehouse operations

Qualified candidates must have

• High school diploma, or equivalent

• Good English communication skills (verbal and written)

• Basic understanding of network systems

• Basic computer skills (email, Excel, Word, Google Apps)

• Basic math skills

• Experience working with electronics

• Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer

Preferred

• 1+ years of experience of Quality Control in Hardware

• This position is based in the IRVINE, CA Office

• Reporting to Production Manager

• This position full time, non-exempt, 8 hour day, Monday - Friday

• Possible overtime, some Saturdays
