Full Stack Engineer, Senior (AI & Test Automation)

OVERVIEW

Our client is undergoing a transformation from a traditional Project-based model to a Product Operating Model. We are looking for a forward-thinking Full Stack Engineer who specializes in Quality Engineering and AI Innovation.

In this role, you will not just "run tests"—you will architect and upgrade the frameworks that ensure Digital, Mobile, and Portal products are flawless. You will lead the charge in moving beyond traditional Selenium scripts by integrating GitHub Copilot and Generative AI to automate code generation, test case creation, and resilience testing. This is a unique opportunity to blend Full Stack development skills with cutting-edge AI tools to redefine how software quality is delivered.

Details:

• Pay Rate: $65-$75/hr
• 6 Months contract to hire role
• Hybrid Role;  2x times a week in office with locations in: San Diego, Long Beach, Sacramento, Rancho Cordova, and Oakland (SF Bay Area)
• Must be eligible to work on W2 without sponsorship, not eligible for C2C

  RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

• Modernize Testing Frameworks: Lead the evolution of current Selenium-based frameworks, upgrading them to modern, scalable architectures that support rapid digital product releases.

• Pioneer AI-Driven Quality: Actively utilize GitHub Copilot and other AI tools to generate automated test scripts, create synthetic test data, and accelerate code development, setting the standard for AI adoption within the team.

• Full Stack Test Engineering: Design and execute comprehensive automated testing strategies across the entire stack, including API Services, Databases, Web Portals, and Mobile applications.

• Digital Product Quality: Partner with the Marketing Digital Contact Center team to ensure high availability and flawless user experience (UX) for our customer-facing digital assets.

• DevSecOps Integration: Embed automated testing gates into our Azure CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that quality and security are "shifted left" and continuous.

  QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on Full Stack Development and Test Automation.

• Core Languages: Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript. You must be comfortable writing production-grade code, not just simple scripts.

• Testing Frameworks: Expertise with Selenium is highly preferred*, with the ability to architect, maintain, and upgrade complex testing suites.

• AI & Innovation: Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot or similar Generative AI tools to assist in code generation, refactoring, and automated test case creation.

• Digital Background: Proven experience working on Digital products (Customer Portals, Mobile Apps, or Marketing platforms).

Preferred Qualifications (The "Bonus"):

• API & Database Testing: Strong experience testing RESTful API services and verifying data integrity within complex Databases.

• Cloud Native: Familiarity with Azure cloud services and deploying tests within cloud-native environments.

• Product Mindset: Experience working in a Product-mode agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) where you own the lifecycle of the quality infrastructure.

• Mobile Testing: Specific experience with mobile-specific testing frameworks for iOS.
