The Senior Logistics Associate - Events will coordinate aspects of special events execution. This role is front facing and will communicate and work cohesively with Marketing, Sales, DC employees, and all departments as necessary, maintain above average productivity numbers, troubleshoot problems, demonstrate technical and process knowledge by answering questions, perform Quality audits, inventory, and provide customer service.

The Sr. Logistics Associate will also perform administrative duties such as scheduling deliveries or pick-ups at the direction of area supervisors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Sr. Logistics Associate will flex into day-to-day responsibilities as required by business needs. It is expected that when serving in a productivity role they can meet or exceed the standard productivity requirements.
  • Use advanced transactions to troubleshoot problems in the warehouse managements system (WMS). Examples include carrier and address change for invalid orders, lost inventory, inbound receipt variances, and invalid customer returns.
  • Participate in the root cause investigations for failures in service, quality, and inventory.
  • Act as the primary points of contact for ensuring quality and completion for key customer orders.
  • Run pre-defined reports that indicate critical actions required in the work area and follow up to ensure completion.
  • With the visibility to problems and understanding of the advanced transactions of the system we want the associates to initiate ideas for improvement that will prevent errors, increase quality, and improve customer service.
  • Assist associates in the area with basic problem resolution and re-enforce training with clarifications and passing along work method pointers.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline driven environment. Able to navigate same day turnarounds and need for reprioritization.
  • Able to work cross functionally and professionally collaborate with stakeholders working at different levels within organization.
  • Understand and react with sense of urgency for needs of customer, marketing, sales, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting.
  • WMS experience. Associates should understand the purpose and be able to complete all the primary WMS within a work area.
  • Understanding of Peter Millar processes and standards of quality and service are essential.
  • Self-directed and task oriented. Possesses the ability to efficiently manage time, multi-task, and meet all deadlines.
  • Proficient with Windows based systems and demonstrated ability to perform functions in Word/ Excel. Problem-solve and develop ideas and suggestions for process improvements.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks including moving boxes up to 40lbs, bending and reaching at various heights, and walking up and down steps.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a customer service role with responsibility for managing a process.
  • Experience of 2 to 3 years in distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics.
  • Solid communication and ability to calmly work thru issue resolution.
  • Able to maintain and build effective relationships with cross-functional team.
