This position reports to VP of Operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the smooth execution of Winston Flowers Event work, from sale to installation, including the direct management and ongoing development of the Event Design teams
- Motivate, coach and mentor a diverse team; create and promote a productive, collaborative and client-focused work environment
- Ensuring executed design work consistently meeting the highest standards based on established criteria for design style, freshness, COGS, accuracy and perceived value to ensure 100% client satisfaction
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to effectively share resources and ensure that client expectations and needs of the company are consistently met
- Initiate and lead the implementation of systems and processes to further enhance the departments’ efficiencies, productivity and relationships with other business areas, leading by example in all processes and functions
- Accountable for overseeing efforts to achieve sales and profitability goals, as well as consistent evaluation of business operations and practices, and staff performance
- Oversight of labor budgets, payroll and scheduling of staff in responsible areas appropriate to business volume
Candidate Attributes
- Significant management experience in high-end event production, design and service industry is required
- Demonstrated experience driving business and building teams, with a proven ability to efficiently and professionally meet client needs
- Ability motivate, manage and retain top quality talent in an energetic, creative, and service oriented environment
- Demonstrated strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- High level of enthusiasm and self-motivation
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Requirements
- Flexible work schedule required, including weekend availability
- Peak business periods will require extended work days and work weeks
- Ability to lift and move product weighing up to 30 pounds
