Overview
The Human Resources Technology (HR) Principal Analyst assists with the daily operations of HR Technology, such as system administration, data integrity/analysis, consultation, and automated system reporting; continuously provides feedback and develops team members. Proactively establishes functional partnerships and consults with internal/external stakeholders to align HR system deliverables with the business.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as liaison between HR and IT to provide systems support and analysis
- Assist team members with technical issues related to the HR Technology systems by investigating problems and developing detailed suggestions for the resolution of issues
- Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application upgrades or fixes
- Coordinate with third-party technical resources with regards to project development, implementation, and/or issues
- Independently manages HR Technology projects; establishes project timelines and buy-in from all stakeholders
- Actively manage expectations through a clearly defined communication and change management plan
- Document and provide lessons learned analysis to improve the delivery of future projects
- Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans
- Participate in meetings with management and staff to perform analysis of change requests and/or recommendations and translate into proper business system requirements
- Review processes and procedures to implement changes to improve department performance and service levels
- Work with employees in the development of project plans that include analysis of cost, resource allocation, resource requirements, related risk, risk mitigation, and return on investment
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, scope, changes, variances, and contingencies that occur during projects
- Develop and assist with complex reporting and file management, including confidential and sensitive data (internal/external)
- Assess current or future employee needs and priorities by communicating directly with customers
- Leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of HR and users of HR technology
- Maintain HR Technology documentation to ensure systems are integrated in an optimized manner
- Maintain and integrate all HR technology architecture based on defined project requirements
- Manage the review, testing, and implementation of HR Technology systems upgrades or patches
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and three years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
- HR technology experience with SAP/SuccessFactors and other employee life cycle applications
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Ability to maintain discretion and work with sensitive/confidential subject matter required
- Demonstrates integrity by being honest and consistently adhering to the moral and ethical standards set by Southern Glazer’s values, policies, and procedures
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Able to identify business opportunities for the organization and think in terms of profit, loss, and added value; knowledgeable of market trends and displays excellent strategic planning and resource allocation
