Head of Data Operations & Science

Vendelux (https://vendelux.com/) is the system of record for event marketing. Our software platform provides proprietary insights that helps high-growth companies find the highest ROI events, conferences and trade shows to attend and sponsor. We have built an AI-powered platform that customers describe as an event marketer’s dream. Vendelux is a venture-backed company, with marque customers and high revenue growth.

Now we are hiring a Head of Data Operations & Science to help us build the best data platform for B2B events and conferences.

Our current database has over 150,000 events and tens of millions of people and companies. The person in this role will build out our data analytics, operations, and science teams and capabilities, leveraging a first of its kind, robust dataset that is constantly growing and evolving.

The Head of Data Operations & Science role is a full-time position at our NYC HQ.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee process to update, supplement, and append event data on an on-going basis from over 100,000 web sources and data partners

• Build out data analytics capabilities and dashboards to provide actionable insights internally and externally

• Manage network of data partners

• Collaborate with engineers on data modeling and internal APIs to process data

• Lead our growing data operations and analytics team

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data operations, data management, and/or data science

• Familiarity with Python, SQL and data management and visualization tools

• Great team member who contributes to our culture and our business

• Takes ownership and demands excellence from themselves and others

• Likes a fast paced environment and is a quick learner

• Results-driven and can prioritize activities with the greatest impact

• Proven track record of excellence
