The Role:
ModernaTX, Inc. seeks an Associate II, Quality Control - Chemistry for its Norwood, Massachusetts location.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Responsible for performing Current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP) Quality Control (QC) testing for QC chemistry, release, and stability.
Perform analytical chemistry testing including, but not limited to, High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), Ultra-performance liquid chromatography (UPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Ultra-Violet (UV) Chromatography, Particle Analysis and Dynamic Light Scattering, and Karl Fisher.
Assist with troubleshooting assay methods and equipment.
Perform data entry and support trending.
Perform general laboratory support activities including reagent preparation, sample management, and equipment maintenance.
Responsible for Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) (LabVantage) sample result entry and execution of Electronic Assay Forms in LIMS.
Perform HPLC and plate reader-based assays in support of manufacturing process stat testing as needed.
Support stability program.
Support junior staff with data review, training, and troubleshooting. Manage and stock QC lab supplies.
Write and revise SOPs, protocols, and reports.
Complete and maintain GMP documentation for work performed.
Participate in authoring quality systems records such as investigation, deviations, change controls, and Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs).
Establish and maintain a safe laboratory working environment.
Assist with special projects as assigned.
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Minimum requirements: Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or closely related, and 1 year of experience in quality control chemistry. Full term (1 year) of experience must include:
Utilizing Chromatographic Techniques including HPLC, UPLC, HPTLC, and TLC;
IR and UV spectroscopy;
Method verification/validation protocols;
Quality testing samples using Friability, Sieve Analysis, and Viscosity;
Creating and maintaining laboratory record documentation;
Working with cGMP regulations;
Laboratory and chemical safety using reagents and disposal.
