Equipment Operator - Maintenance (47602)

Aquatic Weeds, A Juniper Company is Growing! We are seeking Equipment Operators for our Aquatics teams. Our Equipment Operators perform work on the jobsites and lead other crew members in a safe and quality manner for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical Harvesting
• Use of excavators and other machines are used to complete jobs.
• Maintaining production schedules and ensuring service expectations are met
• Assisting with training and development of crew members
• Daily time-keeping of work hours on jobsites for crew members
• Ensuring all crew members perform their work in a safe manner
• Ensuring equipment is in working order and properly maintained
• Using hand tools, power tools and/or equipment to perform duties
• This position requires you to be outside, in the water, around wildlife and ready to learn how to restore waterfronts naturally.
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skills:

• Must have experience of at least 3 years operating excavators and other heavy equipment.
• Must have valid driver's license - Clean driving record
• Boat license (If required)
• Know how to swim
• Not afraid of wildlife
• Able to drive and backup with a trailer 
• Operated equipment in the past
• Valid driver's license and ability to clear Motor Vehicle Record review preferred
• Landscaping experience and prior supervisory experience preferred
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred
• Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
• Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
