Summary
The Manager, HR Business Partnerships plays a key role in executing Goodwill’s Human Resources strategy by leading and managing the key functions of Talent Acquisition and Business Partnership. This leader promotes and sustains a business partner mindset. They role model and ensure their direct reports demonstrate an understanding of business unit needs and offer comprehensive HR expertise to proactively meet needs across the employee life cycle with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Essential Job Functions
• Serve as a strategic partner to business unit leaders, providing an ongoing assessment of KPI’s relevant to each part of the employee life cycle. (20%)
• Identify and utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to guide the work of Recruiters and HR Business Partners providing Goodwill business unit leaders relevant and timely data on staffing activities and trends, as well as, retention and talent development efforts. (20%)
• Ensure an ongoing comprehensive, agency-wide employment brand, sourcing strategy and promote best fit selection and equity for openings across Goodwill Columbus. (15%)
• Administer, document, and continually refine talent acquisition and performance effectiveness processes that are compliant with applicable law and reflect an ongoing dialogue with business leaders that encourages alignment with Goodwill’s mission and culture of learning. (15%)
• Personally, and through their team provide ongoing performance management consultation, including workforce planning; and investigating and resolving employee relations issues. (10%)
• Champion and facilitate employees’ leveraging career pathways and WFD programs to master their current role and move their career forward. (10%)
• Collaborate cross functionally to facilitate organization development processes and initiatives. (10%)
Education and Experience – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
• Four-year college degree preferred in Human Resources or Business Administration or 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• 5+ years’ demonstrated success in Talent Acquisition and HR consulting, including performance management, employee relations and talent development.
• SPHR or SCP-HR preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Knowledge of employment laws and ability to ensure all employment practices reflect promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Expertise in the Talent Acquisition and Talent Management body of knowledge demonstrating continuing education to leverage developments in these fields.
• Expert knowledge and ability to effectively leverage Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as, stand up actionable data in HCM systems.
• Exceptional collaboration and innovative thinking skills in all interactions, including with applicants and all levels of management.
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize their work and that of their team as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to use good, independent judgment and think quickly and rationally, including in difficult or stressful situations.
