RLM Underground was established in 2016 and specializes in underground and aerial telecom construction projects throughout the US. RLM has rapidly grown at staggering rates leading to the expansion of its construction and operating capabilities. We are a full-turnkey telecommunications contractor operating in multiple regions across the US.
Position Summary:
RLM Underground seeks a motivated and experienced Regional Project Manager- Great Lakes. The RPM works closely with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Program Managers, and our Finance department to ensure projects are on time and within budget. We're looking for someone with experience tracking every aspect of the project related financial information. They'll also track all data and productivity for the projects. Leadership and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate must be task driven and located in the Great Lakes Region. Project site visits may be required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure that telecommunications constructions projects are accomplished within established priorities, scopes, schedules, and budgets
- Lead the project team through the project life cycle (Design, Estimating, Procurement, Construction, Closeout)
- Interface with Fiber Engineers, Estimators, Permitting Specialists, Fiber Splicers, Installers, Sales, and Legal
- Monitor materials that are required for projects and work with procurement to ensure appropriate materials are available to meet the project schedule
- Implement strategies that will create a positive work environment and a culture of continuous improvement
- Lead meetings such as project reviews and progress meetings
- Provide schedule updates and status of specific project activities
- Identify, understand and actively manage project risks (schedule impacts, scope gaps, weather, material shortages, equipment breakdowns and manpower requirements and develop mitigation plans for these impacts)
- Interact and solve issues when construction impacts stakeholders (property/land owners, cities, counties, townships and additional stakeholders)
- Lead all aspects of the company’s safety culture and create awareness by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and mentoring others.
- Willingness to visit project sites first hand to see issues and solve problems
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: 80K - 90K
RequirementsQualifications
- Must reside within the Great Lakes area.
- Knowledge of telecom construction technology is required.
- Risk assessment/management experience is required.
- Ability to follow administrative policies and procedures.
- Must have strong leadership and communication Skills.
- Requires strong attention to detail and financial tracking, analysis, and projection.
- PM Certification is preferred.
