Summary

Responsible for supporting the RAMS Department by managing materials, equipment, and administrative processes in compliance with NRC, Federal, and Palo Verde regulations.

 

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Procure parts, equipment, and materials by locating qualified vendors for quality-related equipment, repairs, and supplies.
  • System Operations: Maintain and operate the Bar Control System for accurate record keeping on calibrated equipment used for quality-related work orders.
  • Inventory Management: Inventory incoming equipment and ensure proper documentation.
  • Work Order Preparation: Prepare corrective and preventive maintenance work orders in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain SWMS and department databases for compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance for lab operations.

 

 Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with Maximo, SWMS, and Flam Cabinet Inspections.
  • Ability to become qualified in Level B storage inspections.

Minimum Requirements

HS/GED and 3 years related experience.
Requires extensive MLIS and SWMS knowledge to generate, complete, and close work orders.

Knowledge of MS Office products to support departmental functions.

Must have a general familiarity of calibration equipment and terminology.

Be familiar with APS procurement procedures and practices.



Nuclear requirement: Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member.

This is a condition of employment at PVNGS.

Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVNGS employees.



Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short-notice outage.

This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities.



This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energys Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120 ) (collectively, U.S. Export Control Laws).

Therefore, this position requires applicants to be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), a Political Asylee, or a Refugee under the U.S. Export Control Laws. Major Accountabilities

1) Prepares corrective and preventative maintenance work orders, which comply with NRC and Palo Verde guidelines and procedures.

2) InitiateS PR's for equipment sent off-site for repair.
Maintains appropriate files and records. Follow up with vendors to ensure equipment is received on schedule.

3) Records new equipment, incoming and outgoing equipment in Bar Control.
Tracks equipment throughout time in the lab.

4) Runs daily Bar Control reports and notify responsible parties that equipment is due for calibration.
