The Position:
The purpose of this position is to coordinate approved technology and disability accommodations in the classroom for students with disabilities at the Indianapolis Campus. This position is also responsible for coordinating with other department as necessary for access to all materials in alternative formats including books, tests, and class notes. This position will also provide additional support services within DSS to students with disabilities as needed, which include outreach, retention support, disability awareness, equipment tracking, and coordinating support from community agencies when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate access needs like assistive tech software, alt text for course materials, approve access accommodations, and provide support for disability access.
- Work with campus programs, Instructors and staff to ensure an equal experience for all students.
- Helps with disability awareness and guidance in accommodation and support provision.

Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Candidate must possess patience and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a diverse population
- Good customer service and interpersonal communication skill to work effectively.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, especially individuals with vision barriers
- Technology knowledge especially with accessibility features
- Excellent coordination and multi-tasking abilities
- Knowledge of providing access to students in a post-secondary environment
Preferred Qulifications:
- Bachelor's Degree preferrably in Human Services, psychology, special education, or related service field.

Starting Salary Range: $42,000/annually
Classification: E-1 (exempt)
