HIM Supervisor- Berkshire Medical Center, Medical Records, Shift: Day, 40hrs

Job Summary

The HIM Supervisor will oversee the daily workflow and systems to facilitate efficient medical records processing, scanning, release of information and record completion. Ensures compliance with hospital policies and standards. Monitors productivity and scheduling of staff. Streamlines department operations to ensure the highest level of efficiency. Assists in all duties in the HIM department within the scope of the job description to maintain operational needs.

Experience

• Two years of relevant acute care and or ambulatory medical record supervisory experience preferred.

Education

• High School Diploma required

• Associate degree preferred.

License & Certifications:

•  RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) preferred

Additional Requirements

 Computer proficient

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and multi-task
• Knowledge of Medical records systems
• Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements regarding joint commission and privacy

Schedule:

• Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm
• Monday-Friday
• Occasional travel to North Adams Regional Hospital and Fairview Hospital when needed
