Team Member Communications, which sits within the Global Marketing and Communications organization, plays a critical role in shaping how our story is experienced internally. We translate the impact of our products, technical leadership, customer momentum, and culture into compelling communication experiences that build pride, clarity, and confidence among team members. We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Executive Communications Manager to support HPE’s Chief People Officer (CPO) and Human Resources organization. This role is ideal for a seasoned communications professional who thrives in an executive environment, excels at counselling and storytelling, and is passionate about shaping leadership narratives that inspire trust, alignment, and engagement—both internally and externally.

How you’ll make your mark

In this role, you will serve as a strategic partner and advisor to the CPO and HR Chief of Staff, helping shape, advance, and protect the CPO’s leadership platform, ensuring their voice, narrative, and presence are authentic and impactful across internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with and counsel the CPO and HR Chief of Staff to build an executive thought leadership and brand platform aligned to HPE’s strategy, culture, and values.
  • Develop and implement a robust executive communication strategy that aligns with and supports the CPO’s platform and HR’s strategic objectives, and considers both internal and external channels, including social media and external events.
  • Act as a daytoday communications advisor to the Chief People Officer, providing thoughtful counsel on messaging, positioning, and leadership presence.
  • Actively explore and advise on potential external industry engagements and executive speaking opportunities.
  • Develop speeches, including keynotes and speaker preparation for panels, fireside chats, video interviews, media interviews and podcasts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to other HR executive leaders on communication best practices and strategies.
  • Coordinate deliverables across stakeholders and program owners; project manage with leadership oversight to ensure accurate and timely communications.
  • Continuously refine communication strategies based on feedback and performance data.

What we’re looking for:

  • Seasoned executive presence; comfort and confidence in providing communications counsel to all executive levels
  • Advanced knowledge of brand platform strategy; ability to craft unique thought leadership angles that align to the CPO’s goals
  • Diplomacy, listening skills, and a consultative mindset that builds trust and influence
  • Superior writing skills, requiring little editing and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to translate complex topics into clear, simple language
  • Creative thinking and ability to experiment with new communication tactics and channels
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with utmost integrity and discretion
  • Collaborative orientation and ability to navigate a matrixed organization
  • Empowered to self-initiate and execute responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in employee communications, journalism, marketing or project/program management
  • Recent experience managing executive communicat
