Sous Chef

The Sous Chef functions in a supervisory capacity to plan, direct, and evaluate the production and presentation of food for patients, cafés and catering to ensure that the standards of safety, nutritional value, quality and performance are maintained.

Required Qualifications: 

• Degree in Culinary Arts
  • Certification of completion from an accredited culinary trade school (2-4 Year program) --or--
  • ACFEI apprenticeship program (certificate, 4-5 year program) --or-- 
  • culinary experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role may be substituted for education requirement
• National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority upon hire
• 1 year of culinary leadership or supervisory role in a large, high-volume operation required
• Experience in a customer service environment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree - BS/BA in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related field

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
