About the role

Job Description

The Lead, US Animal Health Future Talent Program is responsible for the broader Future Talent Strategy of our Animal Health organization by attracting, recruiting, and developing a key talent pipeline by overseeing our internship and Future Talent Rotational Programs. This includes alignment with our Animal Health business strategy, continuous process improvement, networking and best practices across the enterprise. The role will collaborate closely with Animal Health leaders to ensure the program meets strategic and business critical needs. 

 

Key Responsibilities include: 

 

Hiring and Onboarding: 

  • Work with the US Recruiting Lead to hire entry-level US based employees annually as a part of internship program and Future Talent Rotational Program. (FTRP) 

  • Manage onboarding and pre-onboarding logistics and activities . 

  • Identify, partner and maintain strong relationships with core academic institutions to promote our future talent program with the goal to recruit a candidate pool for such program. 

 

 Program Management 

  • Manage our summer internship program; collaborate with our university relations colleagues, Human Resources Business partners (HRBP’s), hiring managers, L&D partners and business colleagues to ensure a smooth onboarding for our business.  Acts as a resource to our interns; seek ways to remain engaged throughout the calendar year. 

  • Collaborate with Business Leaders to define valuable and meaningful assignments for rotational roles and the final placement process at the end of program. Identify and match employees to these opportunities. 

 

Metrics and Process Improvements: 

  • Work to and track program metrics, benchmark against programs across our Company and other industries. 

  • Oversee Future Talent Budget  

 

Education: 

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline. 

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 6  years of experience (4 with a Master's degree) in Human Resources, Talent, or in a related role with relevant experience managing and building internal and external partnerships 

 

Required Skills/Competencies 

  • Exemplary program and project management skills with ability to oversee and deliver across multiple tasks & deadlines 

  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with Internal and external stakeholders to develop key partnerships 

  • Collaborative and creative mindset 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Ability to influence others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet organization’s objectives 

  • High degree of integrity and personal ethics in implementing corporate policies and procedures. 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
