Shared Data Platforms, Sr. Developer

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. • Work with stakeholders to understand user needs and requirements for applications​
• Create software designs and architecture that meets the specifications of the business​
• Analyze existing applications and develop new software solutions from scratch​
• Develop, test, debug and deploy software solutions to different environments​
• Create clear and concise documentation for software solutions and applications​
• Ensure the quality of software solutions and applications by conducting thorough testing and establishing metrics to monitor performance​
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope​
• Implement software controls and security measures to protect the organization's data and intellectual property​
• Recommend changes to application support, maintenance and system processes to ensure ongoing optimization

Education

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, at least 12 years of experience in software development.

Knowledge & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development, including experience with Agile methodologies 
• In-depth knowledge of different programming languages, including Java, Python, and C++
• Experience with web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, software design patterns and principles
• Experience with version control systems
• Experience with API and Web Services
• Knowledge of DevOps principles
• Excellent problem-solving ability and analytical skills

This position works in the office three days a week and is eligible to work remotely two days a week
