AI/ML Software Developer (AI2 Incubator partner)

Substantial is seeking senior-level software AI/ML developer to deliver high-quality software. You would be working with a startup building productivity-focused AI software that learns from data scientists and enables complex, generative interactions not possible with existing tools. We are contracting for this position.

Responsibilities

• Iterate and shape to deliver a cutting-edge AI product
• Experiment with vector embeddings and fine-tuned models for search and chat
• Build data pipelines for normalizing and enriching ingested data, to train and validate AI/ML models
• Understand user feedback to deliver an exceptional experience

Who You Are

• Adaptable and resourceful with different languages and infrastructure tooling
• Experience with Python, LangChain, OpenAI API, and deployments is a bonus
• Passionate about building AI software and getting better every day
• Curious and collaborative
• Open to aligning broadly with the Pacific time zone for collaboration
