Position Summary
Are you passionate about supporting student success in a dynamic, student-centered environment? The Center Coordinator for the Center for Student Success (CSS) provides administrative and operational support for the Fowler College of Business, performing a full range of office coordination and program support activities. Serving more than 7,900 students, the Center Coordinator position supports the delivery of student services programs and key initiatives such as tutoring, orientation, and commencement, ensuring efficient operations and effective service to a broad range of campus constituents.
Working within the Fowler College of Business’ Center for Student Success, this role requires ability to independently manage multiple priorities, apply and interpret established policies and procedures, and coordinate projects and services that support students, faculty, and staff. From coordinating daily office operations and supporting advising and tutoring programs to assisting with events and administrative functions, the Center Coordinator ensures services run efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with college and university goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Front Desk Operations & Student Services: Serve as the first point of contact for in-person, phone, email, and virtual requests; manage high-volume inquiries, workflows, and issue resolution by applying and interpreting university policies, procedures, and systems to support students, faculty, staff, and campus partners.
- Administrative Coordination & Office Management: Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, calendar management, meeting coordination, and supervision of student assistants; manage office logistics such as supply procurement, vendor coordination, inventory tracking, and production of printed and promotional materials.
- Financial & Data Management: Administer purchasing and budgeting activities, including purchase card transactions, expense processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting; maintain accurate records, handle confidential data, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Communication, Programs & Compliance: Manage internal and external communications across multiple platforms; support student engagement initiatives, advising operations, and events; coordinate safety protocols as unit Safety Coordinator while managing multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-functional collaborations.
- Student Support: Coordinate day-to-day tutoring center operations, including session coverage, attendance tracking, tutor scheduling, and identifying high-need courses to enhance student academic success.
- Program Development & Outreach: Evaluate tutor performance and session effectiveness; support recruitment and training initiatives; and create marketing materials and web content to strengthen program visibility and continuous improvement.
- Event Planning & Program Coordination: Collaborate with campus leadership and academic advising teams to plan and execute large-scale university events (e.g., orientation, commencement, outreach programs), managing logistics, staffing, and cross-campus partnerships.
- Operations, Budgeting & Outreach: Oversee event operations including budgeting, marketing, vendor coordination, and data collection/analysis to support effective programming and continuous improvement.
