JOB SUMMARY  

This position is part of Quality External Operations Group. Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the Quality Inspector/Equipment Operator ensures compliance with cGMP and company policies, procedures and specifications.  This position is responsible for performing inspection and batch record review of Shiseido cosmetic and OTC products produced at contract manufacturers, and quality system functions in accordance with cGMP and any related company SOP’s and FDA regulations.  The Quality Inspector/Equipment Operator position is responsible for the inspection and documentation of all finished and semi-finished parts that are made at contract manufacturers and other business partners as assigned.  This position will operate power equipment such as reach trucks, turret trucks and double pallet riders within the distribution center.  May also operate manual pallet jacks.  This position is responsible for transporting products, completing case picks, and accurate inventory management with use of computers or Radio Frequency “RF” guns.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

• You will support department and organizational goals and objectives.
• You will perform required inspections and releases through contract manufacturer visits, pre-delivery samples (PDS), or receipt of incoming shipments.
• You will use statistical sampling tools such as ISO 2859, ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, or per company's SOP.
• You will perform QC/QA inspections in a timely manner.
• You will help in the inspection workload and cover during vacation needs of other Quality Inspectors
• You will conduct training of others (both internal and external) to ensure test procedures and work instructions are understood and followed correctly.
• You will complete all pre-shift inspection checklists on all power equipment before use.
• You will use RF technology and appropriate inventory management practices.
• You will be wearing proper PPE.
• You will maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
• You will work collaboratively with other employees and departments toward common goals and objectives.
