OFFICEOur new office in Via Turati is a strategic hub, and home to all the NGG staff functions. Turati is where the behind the scenes driving force of NGG is brought to life; this is harmonised with the archive exhibits of brand collaborations found throughout the office.
THE ROLE As a Data & Analytics Manager, you will have the opportunity to generate real value for the Supply Chain Planning and Customer Ops Units by creating and promoting a Data driven culture. You will be responsible to set up and build the Data architecture and repository, valid as unique and solid source of reference for our Operation. You will bring structure to the way we gather, analyse and report data. Commercially minded, you will work closely with Business partners and IT to scope, design and offer the optimal solution for critical projects, by translating business needs into technical requirements. You will leverage on the usage of analytical techniques and new technology to manipulate and transform complex datasets into insights and recommendations for the team, driving strategic alignments with top management on S&OP and operational KPIs. You will lead and coach a talented team of analysts, ensuring individual mentoring and development, while creating and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Collect and connect data from different sources to create a complete, solid Data repository/platform to allow accuracy and coherence among teams while accessing info and data.
  • Build and develop a powerful BI/reporting tool and dashboard, to visualize and monitor metrics and performances among different Units, thus increasing awareness and supporting decisions.
  • Manage multiple projects with different stakeholders, to be delivered in full and on time according to business needs, available technology and agreed roadmap.
  • Overseeing design and development of reports and insights, ensuring robust models are used to build Analytics, and quality of the output always controlled and guaranteed.
  • Recommend data standards and best practices to improve quality of data and time to insights, while championing automation of systems and processes, such us S&OP and KPIs control.
  • Lead, coach and motivate the team to target technical excellence, while responsible to create open and positive environment, based on empathy and trust.
  • Build great working relationships with counterparts in Product, Sales, Digital, Finance, Customer Ops and Logistics. Analyse and improve internal processes and involve IT to create fast and efficient solutions, supporting your manager on projects/requests for the larger Operations team. 

WHO ARE YOU

  • You have +8 years of relevant experience in developing Data & Analytics at international consumer goods companies. Ideally +2 years managing/coordinating a small team. A background in the sporting goods or fashion industry is preferred.
  • You have a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related.
  • You demonstrate a conceptual understanding of Supply Chain Planning & Customer Ops business models, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • You have strong understanding and proven experience in Data modelling, reporting technology, BI/Data visualization tool, such as PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau, with solid knowledge and skills working in back-end, pre-computing needed metrics to facilitate front-end performances.
  • You have knowledge in ETL/Data engineering/SQL, while nice to have understanding of statistical modelling, such as Phyton/R (on top of advanced Excel).
  • You have strong stakeholders & project management skills, ensuring to deliver business impact.
  • You have a keen ability to explain complex processes and issues in simple terms, to identify the key trade-offs in situations, and to gain support for your recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal English communication skills are a must, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence across various levels within the organization.
