General Role Description

Plan and schedule short- and long-term manufacturing processes for large industrial power electronics equipment   

Role Accountabilities

-   Plan production tasks and schedules according to client orders

-   Plan and coordinate production activities to improve runtime, in collaboration with production management

-   Develop and review production plans with managers for approval

-   Adjust assembly build plans to ensure production goals are achieved

-   Report material availability data and conditions affecting production continuity to production team as needed

-   Review material shortage data and communicate with the Senior Production Planner for resolution

-   Produce shortage reports and collaborate with Procurement and Warehouse to ensure parts are available to meet production demands

-   Review capacity demands and provide feedback to the Senior Production Planner to ensure timely deliveries

-   Monitor inventory levels to meet planned inventory goals

-   Develop and issue materials and parts requisitions

-   Release manufacturing work orders to the warehouse for marshalling

-   Update scheduling spreadsheets and production charts

-   Utilize ERP system to generate assembly work orders

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

-  Associate’s degree or equivalent via education and/or work experience

-  2 years of production planning experience in an assembly production environment

-  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

-  Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts

-  Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills

-  Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility

-  Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, and an ERP system

-  Availability to travel, less than 5%, sometimes with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications

-   Proficiency in Oracle

-   5 years’ total production planning experience in a manufacturing environment
