Ethanol Terminal Scheduler - Decatur, IL
ADM Corn Processing | Full-Time | Exempt
The Ethanol Terminal Scheduler plays a key role within ADM’s Ethanol Group, supporting the movement of ethanol through a third-party terminal network to meet customer demand across the United States. This position is responsible for managing terminal inventories, scheduling logistics, and coordinating orders. It involves regular communication with customers, traders, ethanol plant personnel, and service providers.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator, and able to solve problems and manage conflict in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ethanol logistics to third-party terminals
- Monitor and manage terminal inventories
- Coordinate with customers to schedule ethanol deliveries
- Communicate regularly with traders and ethanol plant teams
- Track and manage contract balances
- Enter and track railcar orders; perform some weekend rail billing
- Schedule truck shipments
- Approve invoices, including inspection and demurrage
- Coordinate with inspection companies to maintain competitive rates
- Support accounting as needed
- Understand terminal capabilities, commitments, and associated charges
- Provide backup to other service representatives
- Occasional travel preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the industry or within ADM (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with ADM systems, including:
- Order and invoicing platforms
- Transportation tools: RMS, Web Rate Inquiry, Billing & Diversions, IMS Demurrage
- Maximo (preferred)

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$50,700.00 - $91,000.00
