As Senior Engineer, Civil, Structural, Architectural (CSA) for the Global Facilities Engineering Department at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible to provide high quality Engineering services and support for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of your subject area specific Facilities systems in support of the Semiconductor Manufacturing sites across the Micron Global Manufacturing Network, and for the large-scale Greenfield FAB Construction Projects in U.S. In this role, you will support the Facilities Teams and Manufacturing sites across the network as the Technical Authority through all phases of design, construction, installation, start-up, operations and maintenance with focus and emphasis on U.S. FAB Design and Construction Projects, Global Standardization and Alignment, Innovation, Reliability and Performance, and Sustainability.
Provide Design and Construction Project Support, Leadership, and Expertise
- Lead the Micron Global, Regional, and Site Design and Construction project teams in the Engineering and Design development for the U.S. Greenfield FAB Design and Construction projects for your Subject area
- Coordinate Civil, Structural, and Architectural reviews of related issues with the other Teams and fields and ensure high quality Design and Construction execution
- Develop, review, and provide feedback/lessons learned/support of the Micron Global Design and Construction Standards and Construction Specifications with focus and emphasis on Engineering Design and Construction of your respective systems.
- Develop, review, and provide feedback/lessons learned/support of the System Design concepts for your respective Subject area systems to be deployed into the Design and Construction Projects
- Review capacity planning databases and system operating trends across the network and validating utilization and diversity factor assumptions
- Participate and/or lead capacity and scenario planning across the network, including evaluation of system and distribution capacity impacts based on scenario changes
- Review and advise on Project scope, schedule, and cost estimates for Facilities infrastructure projects, additions, or modifications
- Perform regular field inspections during construction and supervise the project to ensure that it is within agreed scope, schedule and budget and that the work is being performed in accordance with design intent.
- Apply understanding of Uniform Building Code (or IBC) applications and resolve compliance for issues related to exiting, occupancy and building types.
- Ensure constructability in challenging environments in or near operating buildings without interruptions.
Provide Technical Support, Leadership, and Expertise
- Provide consultation and support to Global, Regional, and Site Facilities and Manufacturing teams as the Technical Discipline Subject Matter Expert
- Collaborate with internal partners and collaborators including Technology Development Team, Procurement, Finance, Legal, etc.
- Develop, review, and maintain the Micron Global system, equipment, and component Standards, Specifications, and Best Known Methods (BKMs)
- Review and ensure Standardization and Alignment across the Micron Global Network and Sites for Engineering and Design concepts, Construction Project execution, Reliability Programs deployment, and Operations and Maintenance practices
- Analyze system designs to identify improvements that will result in better performance, efficiency gains, reduced maintenance, and cost savings
- Support sites with problem analysis using standard tools and methodologies as requested
- Benchmark within and external to Micron sites on Engineering Best Practices and Best Known Methods (BKM) of Facilities buildings and systems
- Maintain innovative technical knowledge on your respective discipline including for Industry Trends and Technological advances, emerging technology roadmap, Design Innovations, Sustainability, etc.
Provide Global Initiatives Program Support, Leadership, and Expertise
- Support, review, and provide feedback/lessons learned of the Micron Global Best Known Methods (BKM) documents with focus and emphasis on Operations and Maintenance Reliability and/or Performance
- Support, review, and provide feedback/lessons learned of the Global Facilities Programs & Initiatives, including for program implementation and execution
- Support the Global Facilities Sustainability Program
