Governance Assistant Vice President – Hybrid role dedicated to the review of Governance, Reporting, Taxonomy, and Procedures.

Procedures:

  • Convert, Evaluate, enhance, design, and develop procedures for Operations
  • Reviews internal and external requests for procedures for audits, inspections, and investigations
  • Ensure procedures are in compliance with governance policies

Governance:

  • Responsible for supporting the development, QC, and updates of the Operations Performance and Governance Reporting deck and various other reporting tools as required. Ensuring that data is accurate and socialized with stakeholders prior to being published.
  • Works with senior staff and stakeholders on developing standards, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and controlling weaknesses
  • May have ongoing contact with internal teams to ensure risk management priorities are reflected in annual plans and initiatives
  • Maintain inventory of mandated reporting and monitoring
  • Accountable for the completion of assigned deliverables for the Operations Process Taxonomy including the collaboration with Stakeholders to ensure all processes are adequately reported on

Qualifications:

  • 5-6 years of relevant experience within a large, highly-matrixed organization with recent work related to procedures and governance
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of and demonstrated experience interpreting and applying one or more recognized, related compliance and/or risk management regulations and frameworks to develop governance
  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience creating and/or administering a comprehensive governance/risk management program in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of corporate documents and repository requirements and controls
  • Excellent organizational, administrative and technological skills to maintain complex records and systems
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Attention to detail, and ability to work independently and under time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to manage competing priorities effectively
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point), and in Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to learn to use document management systems and Board portal software
  • Ability to prioritize work without management direction, and provide clear and documented status updates/metrics to management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both business/management and technical colleagues
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities while adhering to established milestones and timelines
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new capabilities/tools based on business needs
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

Compensation and Total Rewards:

The typical base pay range for this role is between $82K - $127K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
