3rd Shift Production

Summary/Objective

 

Ornua Ingredients North America custom formulates and manufactures a complete line of pasteurized process cheese products. We are looking for an energetic, fast-paced, hardworking and reliable employee to join our manufacturing production team! The production team member performs all tasks involved with making/mixing the product.  This position follows all good manufacturing practices and practices safe work habits to ensure packaging is as efficient and safe as possible. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
• Open barrels, block, or bags of cheese and other ingredients
• Weigh the ingredients to the specified amount per individual batch sheets
• Use knives and wires to cut and trim the ingredients to the correct weights
• Transfer ingredients from the scale to the pick-up tables
• Heavy lifting and the ability to load cheese into grinders is required
• Maintain a clean and safe work areas
• All other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Solid work history is a must
• Prior food manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices a plus
• Basic math, reading and communications skills

 

Physical Demands:

 

• Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time- (10-hour days)
• Ability to talk, hear and carry out directions in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability work with hands and to lift up to 50lbs repetitively and occasionally up to 100lbs
• Ability to adjust body position to bend, stand, walk, turn, and pivot
• Ability to make minor decisions based on standard practice
