Responsibilities and Impact:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced VP, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with a deep understanding of technology and its financial implications. The VP, Financial Planning & Analysis will play a critical role in advising our CTOs and CIOs on the financial impacts of business decisions, helping to navigate complex technology cost allocations within our matrixed organization with multiple divisions.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing expert guidance for Technology initiatives and investments.

  • Collaborate with technology leaders to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations that align with business objectives and drive efficiencies.

  • Analyze and communicate the financial impacts of technology investments and operational decisions, ensuring alignment with procurement strategies for maximum savings.

  • Develop and implement financial models and forecasts that support enterprise technology initiatives as well as potential acquisitions, divestitures and partnerships, ensuring alignment with procurement and vendor management goals.

  • Lead a team of financial analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence while ensuring a comprehensive view of technology spend across the enterprise while balancing specific divisional needs. This would include a mix of direct reports and dotted-line reports across the enterprise.

  • Facilitate discussions around financial decisions, ensuring consideration for the unique needs of our divisions and corporate groups while promoting a unified approach to technology spending.

  • Guide both direct and indirect divisional teams to achieve a holistic understanding of technology expenditures and savings opportunities.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $333,000 to $410,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, with a focus on technology sectors.

  • Experience managing financial operations in a large, matrixed technology organization with multiple divisions, demonstrating an understanding of complex technology cost attribution.

  • Extensive experience, from both a finance and technology perspective, with the SDLC, technology workforce planning, and software and application rationalization.

  • Proven track record of partnering effectively with procurement teams to achieve significant cost savings and optimize financial performance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of working with C-suite executives, particularly in technology environments.

  • Adept at leading end-to-end planning processes, managing large global teams, and partnering cross-functionally to drive financial performance and productivity.

  • Experience across corporate planning, treasury, and business CFO roles (ideally supporting technology enterprise teams or organizations).

  • Led transformation and/or turn arounds across a multi-divisional enterprise.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts in relatable terms.
