Our work depends on a Quality Analyst joining our team to perform analysis, write functional requirements and manual test complex changes made to systems supporting the Medicare Secondary Payer office of CMS. GENERAL SUMMARY

Reviews and evaluates software products and systems to ensure Section 508 accessibility compliance.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Tests and remediates web applications for Section 508 compliance.
• Creates and updates Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) 508 documentation.
• Performs testing and documents evidence of expected results being met.
• Opens defects when found during system testing, and coordinates with developer through resolution; retests defects when coding is complete.
• Supports integration testing effort.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
• 5+ years of related software testing and 508 accessibility experience including hands-on experience working with 508 tools - JAWS, Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (WAVE) and Color Contrast Analyzer (CCA).
• Proficient in Section 508 policy and rules as they relate to delivering accessible web applications.
• Finding and remediating 508 issues in Web Applications and updating VPAT documentation.
• Training and mentoring other testers and developers in 508 compliance, testing and remediation.
• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in quality assurance and software engineering.
• Work in AWS environments preferred.
• Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle simultaneous assignments.
• Experience supporting Federal, civilian and health agencies is a plus.

CLEARANCE: candidate must have resided in the US for 3 of the last 5 years and pass a background investigation in order to obtain a Public Trust.

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $120,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
