What you will be doing…
- Provide timely and careful review of all Order Processing Forms (OPF) to ensure accurate and on-time customer billings
- Record all sales contracts in QuickBooks. Issue all customer invoices, collect amounts, and post cash due in a timely manner.
- Use a thoughtful approach on collections as to when to push hard and when to take a more measured approach. Work closely with the account management and sales teams to collect past due invoices.
- Maintain detailed report that tracks Professional Services projects, with thorough understanding of the triggers for revenue recognition and invoicing
- Ensure funds availability, check cash across multiple accounts, update cash worksheets, and transfer cash between multiple accounts (including proper currency exchanges that maximize favorable exchange rates) so that Innovative meets its financial obligations.
- Prepare monthly documentation to meet month-end closing deadlines
- Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in tracking, maintaining, and reporting on financial activity within all Company ledgers to ensure proper financial statement reconciliation between internal, lender, and customer reports/statements
- Comprehension of the balance sheet and income statement and their respective accounts
- Investigate questionable data, report discrepancies, and provide recommendations for resolution
- Assist team members as needed
- Be comfortable working with multiple currencies and multiple general ledgers
- Work closely with accounting staff to ensure that travel expenses that may be charged to customers are processed and invoiced in a timely manner
- Other responsibilities as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or equivalent
- Minimum two years of experience in an accounting role
- QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment
- Competency in MS Office including Excel
- Proven aptitude for numbers
- Honest and trustworthy
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong work ethic
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and ability to prioritize competing priorities
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations quickly and accurately
- Previous experience with international currency a plus
