Job Purpose and Impact
The Responsible Sourcing Program Director will support global Cargill Protein and Salt businesses in developing and advancing Cargill's responsible sourcing capabilities aligned to our sustainability strategy and goals. This is a crucial program and capability for achieving our purpose and will deliver significant benefits to the customers we serve. In this role, you will develop innovative sourcing programs that improve environmental, social and governance (ESG) outcomes and mitigate ESG risks in key supply chains. This role will develop solutions to comply with customer and legislative requirements while collaborating with sourcing teams to educate and engage key suppliers. In addition, this leader will partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive results and report progress internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the development of responsible sourcing strategy, to include driving the portfolio of programs and projects to develop the responsible sourcing capability build and ensure compliance with customer and legislative requirements (Canada’s Modern Slavery Act, CS3D, EUDR, etc.) improving environmental, social, and governance outcomes.
- Partner and engage with the CPS businesses and targeted customers to discuss related sustainability principles, strategic alignment and overall theories of change on behalf of the enterprise to achieve consensus and overcome barriers, contributing to retention and growth of our market share with customers.
- Drive corporate nongovernmental organization engagement plans and focus areas ensuing alignment with the business or corporate sustainability approach and challenges.
- Identify and connect corporate, business and supply chain opportunities to commercialize sustainability.
- Partner with sourcing to identify and manage relevant sourcing risks in our global supply chains and operations as well as impacts on customers.
- Represent the company by educating and engaging key suppliers and customers on relevant Responsible Sourcing initiatives.
- Monitor and identify evolving regulatory and customer requirements and industry developments, and provide overall resource and budget management to leadership team.
- Provide strategic leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their organizations, which may include forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of eight years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with program and process methodologies, trading, risk management, sourcing and cross functionally.
- Confirmed success in developing, implementing and leading strategic sustainability and/or responsible sourcing initiatives and a portfolio of project plans.
- Confirmed experience in leading transformation and change management.
- People management and supervisory experience.
